HOT FRESH BREAD

The smell of fresh bread, baking in the oven, is hard to beat. The aroma that fills the air makes your mouth water for that first bite.

I love bread almost as much as chocolate. When it is fresh from the oven I don't even need any butter to eat it.

Here are a few of my favorite recipes for homemade bread.

Beer Bread

Ingredients:

* 3 cups Self Rising Flour
* 4 T. Sugar
* 1 - 12 oz. can of beer

Directions:

Heat oven to 375 degrees.
Mix all ingredients together. Mix well.
Butter and flour bread pan.
Pour batter into pan.
Bake 45 minutes or until golden brown.

Tastes great with Spaghetti or Beef Stew

Cornbread

* 4 tsp. Baking Powder
* 1/2 tsp. Salt
* 2/3 cup Shortening
* 3/4 cup Buttermilk

Directions:

Stir in remaining ingredients until moistened.
Pour into greased 9" pan.
