Jerky Marinade

My family loves jerky but we found it was expensive to buy in the store. So my husband bought a food dehydrator and decided to try to make his own. After a few mishaps he finally came up with a marinade we all liked.  He has fine tuned it until he got it (the marinade) exactly how he wanted it.

We have only used this marinade on beef or deer meat. If anyone tries it with something else let me know how it turns out. . Enjoy!

Ingredients:

* 2 C. Worchestershire Sauce
* 5 - 6 T. Soy Sauce
* 3 - 4 T. Curry Powder
* 1 T. Garlic Powder
* 1 tsp. Black Pepper
* 1 tsp. Seasoning Salt
* 1 - 2 T. Hot Sauce
* 3 - 4 T. Crushed Red Pepper
* 2 - 3 T. Liquid Smoke

Instructions:

In a large tupperware container combine all ingredients. Stir until everything is mixed well.

Add meat (beef or deer). Cover and put in refrigerator overnight.

Cooking times may vary depending on the dehydrator. Follow instructions that came with your machine.

Hints & Tips:
You can add more or less of any of the ingredients as desired. If you want hot jerky you can add more hot sauce and red peppers. For even hotter add a little jalapeno pepper juice or crushed jalapeno peppers.
